Our work is supported by these local leaders:

Seacoast Local is devoted to educating the Seacoast about the community benefits of directing more of our money locally, in order to increase our region’s economic, community and environmental strength. Our role is to be the forum where locally owned, independent businesses come together to lead this transformation, within their own business and in partnership with our community.

Local Fish Benefit Dinner! Our upcoming event is a benefit dinner co-hosted by Granite State Fish and Seacoast Local's ReRootEd local food program. The evening will entail learning opportunities about the state of the local fishing industry. Area chefs, fisherman and researchers will be present as guests—join the conversation and learn about the hurdles and opportunities for our local economy. And, the Advanced Food and Beverage Management students from the Whittemore School of Business and Economics at the University of New Hampshire will provide an excellent three course dinner featuring local seafood—off the docks to your plate. Proceeds will go towards Seacoast Local efforts to develop the marginal species market for NH Fishermen by connecting local chefs to local fish, identifying barriers and solutions, and providing educational and outreach resources to our community.

Shift with us this year!  Stay tuned for the events, workshops, and strategies for localizing our economy.  We'll help you do your part for our locally owned independent businesses and our community all while improving your own lifestyle.  In the months ahead we'll support a stronger economy, a more vibrant community, and a healthier environment by shifing our banking and investing, health and wellness, home and office services, food, and much more!

Seacoast Local encourages residents to take job creation and economic concerns into their own hands by exercising their power to strengthen their own local economies.  This is an effective strategy all year-round, but especially important at the holidays.

(H)EAT. We've already raised over $8,000 and we only started on December 2nd! We're ramping up for another successful (H)EAT (pronounced 'heat eat') program again this year.   Seacoast Local businesses and friends are aiming to raise $30,000 to buy 10,000 gallons of fuel and 10,000 meals for those who need it this winter.  Join in with many of our business members in several unique fundraising events.
